Celine Dion Slams Former President Donald Trump for Unauthorized Use of ‘My Heart Will Go On’

Canadian legend Celine Dion has slammed former US President Donald Trump for using her Oscar-winning song ‘My Heart Will Go On’ from the movie Titanic at their rally.

On Friday, at rally in Bozeman, Montana a clip of tract ‘My Heart Will Go On’ was played screen.

Artist’s team has criticized it for the “unauthorized” use of a clip at a presidential campaign event.

On X, her team released a statement saying she did not “endorse” adding adding: “And really, that song?”

The statement came as “Today, Celine’s management team and her record label, Sony Music Entertainment Canada Inc, became aware of the unauthorized usage of the video, recording, musical performance, and likeness of Celine singing My Heart Will Go On at a Donald / JD Vance campaign rally in Montana.

“In no way is this use authorized, and Celine does not endorse this or any similar use.

“…And really, that song?”

Many artists previously including Neil Young, Queen and the Rolling Stones complained about Former president for using songs at rallies.

For using songs, buying licensing packages from music rights organizations gives the legal access, but in this case Sony Music Entertainment Canada Inc. said they did not authorise any campaign to use her song.

Former President is not the only one Republican Party’s presidential candidate to receive criticism from artists for the use of songs during campaign rallies. Last year, Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy has been asked by rapper Eminem asked to stop using his songs.
